Crock Pot Pork Chops

Most people do not eat pork because they consider it too be too fatty but it has the same amount of cholesterol found in other meats if you cut out the fat. Crock Pot Pork Chops

For some traditional crock pot pork chops the ingredients required include 2 pork chops, half a cup or chopped carrots, half a cup of chopped celery and onions. You also need about half a cup of water chestnuts and barbecue sauce. The other ingredients required include lemon juice, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard and salt and pepper. Put the pork chops in a crock pot and then combine all the vegetable in a different bowl before adding them to the slow cooker. Cook the mixture for about 6 or 8 hours on low heat. Once the dish is done, serve it with some salad or rice.

You can also combine the pork chops with potatoes to make an interesting dish. For this recipe, you will have to dredge the pieces of pork in flour before frying them in some cooking oil. Add some pepper and salt to taste. Place some chicken soup in the crock pot and then put in the fried pork chops. The potatoes should be placed on top of the pork chops and left to cook for about five hours before serving them.

The crock pot pork chops can also be made in an Italian style to come up with a delicious meal. Apart from the pork chops, you will also need some Italian dressing and a sliced apple for this recipe. Place the pork chops in the crock pot and add some pepper and salt for flavor. The crock pot should be on medium heat. Slice the apply into small slices and then place them inside the crock pot on top of the pork chops. You can also replace the apples with vegetables of your choice like onions, potatoes or carrots. These vegetables help to bring out the flavor of the pork chops. Pour in the Italian dressing into the crock pot once you are done and then cover the ingredients with some water. Cover the pot and let the ingredients cook over medium heat. This dish takes about three hours to cook but you can leave it on the stove for a longer period of time if you want the pork chops to be very tender.  This is a great meal to enjoy during dinner or with some guests during a party.
